Medici Business Development Consultant
The Medici Group is looking for a Business Development Consultant that can help the company achieve maximum profitability by effectively selling our products and related services. The Business Development Consultant will work closely with Medici’s business development team to deepen client relationships and build Medici’s pipeline. Medici is specifically looking for individuals with experience in sectors such as human resources or diversity and inclusion; and a network they can immediately access to showcase our offerings.
Our capabilities are grounded in The Medici Effect (Harvard Business Press, 2004, 2017) and The Click Moment (Penguin Portfolio, 2012). Ideal candidates will have an understanding of the concepts outlined in both books and demonstrate a passion and interest for operationalizing our thought leadership within organizations.
Job Type: Contractor
Compensation: Base plus commission
Requirements and Skills:
6-8 years of relevant professional experience
Strong business acumen, understanding of corporate landscape and fields and practices related to HR, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion
Solution selling with CHROs, talent and/or learning development executives, Chief Diversity Officers, and/or diversity executives with decision-making power
Identifying prospects, negotiating, and closing business
Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Generating leads and helping identify new deal pathways to meet sales targets, specifically targeting CHROs, heads of talent and/or learning, and Chief Diversity Officers in a wide range of sectors
Closing deals for services such as workshops, events and content strategy, keynotes, leadership bootcamps, and executive strategy sessions
Accessing and expanding Medici’s network to identify business development opportunities and build and effectively maintain relationships
Travel as needed
